Daniel Casey

Daniel Casey is an English actor who is most recognized for his role as DS Gavin Troy, DCI Tom Barnaby’s initial sidekick, in the first six seasons of the venerable drama Midsomer Murders.

Daniel Casey was born in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England, UK.

Career Highlights:

Daniel Casey debuted as an actor in a touring production of Dead Fish. He is well-known for playing Anthony Cox in Our Friends in the North and DS Gavin Troy in Midsomer Murders.

In the 2004 ITV firefighting series Steel River Blues, he also portrayed chief firefighter Tony Barnes. He also had a brief cameo in M.I. High. He made an appearance in Marchlands in 2011 and an episode of Inspector George Gently in 2010.

He made appearances in Casualty in 2012 and again in 2014. Likewise, He was featured on Coronation Street at the start of 2016.

In the BBC soap series EastEnders, Casey played Tom Bailey regularly. In addition, He made his debut on June 1st, 2017, and his initial name was “Nosebleed Man.” But as soon as the identity of his character was revealed, he was given the name Tom Bailey.

He initially appeared as Terry in Emmerdale on May 24, 2018. Also, Casey debuted as Professor Plum in the traveling Cluedo stage play on January 28, 2022.

Daniel Casey’s father was Luke Casey who was a popular journalist and television host.

He completed his studies at Grey College in Durham and received a BA in English Literature.

Daniel got married to Ellie Casey in 1996 and has two sons named Rafferty Rafferty Casey who was born on June 10, 2006, and Milo Casey.
