John Chamling Rai

John Chamling Rai is a famous Nepali singer and songwriter who did a song cover in the early stage and later did his original song.

Early Life:

John started his journey when he was four years old when he received his first guitar. Before he launched his original song he used to cover songs of different singers and bands like Tribal Rain, The Beatles, Sajjan Raj Vaidya, JPT Rockerz, Michael Bublé, Neetesh Jung Kunwar, Albatross, and many more.

Career Highlights:

John Chamling Rai debuted his career through his single “Prasna” in 2020 in the same year he released another song collaboration with Nyshang called “Firework”. In 2021 he released three songs titled “Parkhi Rahexu”, “Ko Xa Ra”, and “Vagyamani Moh”.

His song titled “Sadhana” which was released in 2022 went viral on TikTok and later in the same year he released “Mutu Dekhin”. In 2023 he released two songs titled “Hawa Jastai” and “Samaya Ley”. His song “Hawa Jastai” has been able to accomplish 18 million views.

Currently, he works with a band named “John and The Local”. His band members are himself as the vocalist and keyboard player, Shreehang Rai as the guitarist, Manuhang Rai as the bassist, Jasperr Rai as the drummer, and Sudarshan Thapa as percussion playing guitar and flute.

Also, Pukar Thakali and Henry Rai work with the band as managers and sound engineers.

Personal Life and Relationships:

John Chamling Rai’s mother’s name is Pemu Rai and his sister’s name is Sandu Rai.

He did his Schooling at Deport Higher Secondary School located in Dharan and did his University at the University Of Copenhagen located in Denmark as a corporate finance major.
