Degosh Kumar Rai

Degosh Kumar Rai is a Nepali bassist, songwriter, and composer who is recently playing for the band “Purna Rai and Dajubhaiharu” and he is also the co-founder of the rock band “Freebirds Nepal”.

Early Life:

Degosh Kumar Rai was born and raised in Dharan, Nepal. His music journey began at an early age.

Career Highlights:

Degosh Kumar Rai began his music journey in 2017 after he co-founded a rock band “Freebirds Nepal”. He was also a session bassist contributing to the recording, and production for Ankita Pun’s debut album “Maili”.

In 2022 his band “Freebirds Nepal” was also the First runner-up in the reality show “Band Champion Nepal, Season 1”

As of 2024, he has played in major events with the band “Purna Rai and Dajubhaiharu” like Dharan Expo 2024, Patan Music Fest 2024, and in Dubai.

His “Purna Rai and Dajubhaiharu” band members are himself as the bassist, Purna Rai as the vocalist and acoustic guitar player, Susan Karki as the guitarist, Sumek Yonjan as the drummer, and Eyan Rai as percussion playing the flute.

Personal Life and Relationships:

Degosh Kumar Rai attended Eureka Residential School and National Academy Higher Secondary School and graduated in 2017.

Related With:

Wrizesh Maskey, Nabin Tamu, and Susan Karki are the band members of his co-founded rock band “Freebirds Nepal”.
