Andy Grammer

Andy Grammer is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer handled by Steve Greenberg’s S-Curve Records and was named by Billboard as one of its Artists to watch in 2011.

Early Life:

Andy Grammer’s real name is Andrew Charles Grammer and he was raised in Chester, New York.

Career Highlights:

Andy Grammer’s career started after he moved to California to pursue a music career. He started writing songs at the age of 15. Belonging to an artistic family, he learned to play trumpet and later piano and the guitar at a young age. Furthermore, he started his career in Santa Monica as a busker. Also, he used to perform in the Viper Room.

His first album, Andy Grammer was released on June 14, 2011.  In May 2011, The Grammy Museum featured him in the first installment of its homegrown local artist series.

He released his second album Magazines or Novels was released in 2014 and featured ‘Honey I’m Good ‘, which has been his most successful song to date, reaching number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.

He was also declared as one of the celebrities to participate in the 21st season of Dancing with the Stars on August 31, 2015. His first single ‘Keep Your Head Up’ reached the top 5 on the U.S. Adult Music Charts.

In addition, Andy released a new song ‘Fresh Eyes’ which was another hit that reached the top 19. He released his latest single ‘Give Love’ on June 9, 2017.

Personal Life and Relationships:

Andy Grammer is the son of Robert Crane who is a Grammy-nominated recording artist known for writing and performing songs. At the same time, his mother Kathryn Willoughby Gramer was a women’s rights activist.

He graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a B.A. in Music Industry Studies.

Andy is married to Ajija Lise Grammer, who is a performer and singer. The couple married each other in July 2012. Moreover, there is no information about his past relationships.

Together they have two daughters. They welcomed their first daughter Louisiana on Jul 28, 2017, and in March 2020 their second daughter Israel was born.
