Lydie Denier

Lydie Denier is a well-known French American actress and model who started her modeling and acting journey at an early age.

Early Life:

Lydie Denier began her modeling journey in 1978 and her acting career in 1985. She was born in Pontchâteau but was raised in Martinique. Her full name is Lydie M. Denier.

Career Highlights:

Lydie Denier debuted her career modeling in 1978 when she was 14 years old and has appeared in Vogue and ELLE magazines. She was 16 years old when she got her first record deal with Polygram, singing ballads after she started traveling in Africa, the Caribbean, and Germany.

In 1984, she also won the “Miss Legs International” pageant and attended  “Miss Italia” the same year, then she started her pursuit of acting as she was taking a vacation to Los Angeles, USA.

She has also appeared in videos and commercials. In 19,88, she debuted in a movie titled “Bulletproof” alongside Gary Busey.

In 1,991, she also appeared in a movie titled “Baywatch” and in the same year, she made her major role in the television series “Tarzan” as Jane Porter.

She also appeared in the “Red Shoe Diaries” as well as “Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue” after Zalman King recognized her.

In 1993, she also appeared as a spy in the “AcapH.E.A.T,  E.A.T.,” which was a syndicated television series,a nd she also released her calendar in 2000.

In 2002, she appeared in the American sitcom television series titled “Spin City” and in the same year, she also appeared in a comedy-drama television series titled “Gilmore Girls”.

Later in 2005, she was seen in a Syfy original movie titled “Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy,” where she portrayed the role of Doctor Mendoveko.

Lydie has appeared in many movies, including Silk Stalkings, General Hospital, The Flash, Conan the Adventurer, Starman, Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue, Red Shoe Diaries, Tarzan: The Epic Adventures, and many more.

Personal Life and Relationships:

Lydie Denier attended her school at Lycée Scholecher in Fort-de-France, where she studied acting and improved her English.

She was engaged in 1995 to John Christopher Steven, who was the 10th United States Ambassador to Libya, but unfortunately, he was killed on September 11, 2012, in Benghazi.

Lydie currently lives in Laguna Beach, California, USA.
