Fleur East

Fleur East is an English rapper, musician, and radio host who became well-known as a result of the reality program The X Factor and a member of the female group Addictiv Ladies.

Early Life:

Fleur East was born to a Ghanaian mom and an English dad.

Career Highlights:

Fleur East was a member of the female group Addictiv Ladies, which was mentored by Simon Cowell on season two of The X Factor in 2005. The group was evicted in week one after finishing in the bottom two with Chico Slimani. Through her manager, she met drum-and-bass producer DJ Fresh in 2011, She appeared on the song “Turn It Up” from Fresh’s album Nextlevelism in 2012.

In January 2012, East signed with the record label Strictly Rhythm and released two singles under the name Fleur as the lead artist: “Broken Mirror” with Cutline and “Turn the Lights On”

In 2013, she performed the main act at the Miss Face of Africa EU ceremony in London and appeared on Drumsound & Bassline Smith’s “One in a Million,” which peaked at number 53 on the UK Singles Chart.

She was about to leave her music career in 2014 due to some problems but her friends and family encouraged her to re-audition for the  X Factor. East tried out The X Factor in June 2014.

She sang Chris Brown’s “Fine China” in the arena, earning four “yes” votes to advance to the boot camp round. East performed uptown funk featuring Bruno Mars in the semi-final of the X Factor 2014 but she wasn’t able to get to the final.

Personal Life and Relationships:

Fleur East mothers name is Irene Frimpong-Manso and her father’s name is Malcolm East. Her sister’s name is Keshia and she is a trained makeup artist.

She studied at Holy Family Technology College and the Queen Mary University of London. She studied journalism and modern history at the Queen Mary University of London and Holy Family Technology College in Walthamstow. Her academic qualification is graduation.

Since 2010, a famous French fashion designer named, Marcel Badiane-Robin has been dating East. East wasn’t single when they first met and after a year or so they began dating. The two initially met in a bar where Marcel was working as a waitress in 2009. In June 2019, they were married in Morocco.
